Metóda valueOf(char c) triedy Character vráti inštanciu znaku, ktorá predstavuje danú hodnotu znaku. Ak nový objekt znaku nie je potrebný, potom by sa mala použiť metóda prednostne pred konštruktorom Character(char).

Vyššie uvedená metóda pravdepodobne poskytne lepší priestorový a časový výkon. Táto metóda uloží do vyrovnávacej pamäte hodnoty v rozsahu „u0000“ až „u007F“ a môže existovať možnosť uložiť do vyrovnávacej pamäte ďalšie hodnoty mimo rozsahu.

Syntax

 public static Character valueOf(char c) 

Parametre

c : Je to hodnota znaku, ktorú je potrebné otestovať.

Návratová hodnota

Metóda valueOf(char c) vracia objekt Character.
